On June 6, 2024, China and Brazil held the 7th meeting of the China-Brazil High-level Coordination and Cooperation Committee and reached the following outcomes:

  1. The two sides signed the minutes of the seventh meeting of the China-Brazil High-level Coordination and Cooperation Committee.
  2. The two sides signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China and the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Small and Micro Enterprises of the Federal Republic of Brazil on Public Policy Cooperation for Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.
  3. The two sides signed the Protocol on Inspection and Quarantine Requirements of Brazilian Pecan Fruit exported to China between the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China and the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry of the Federal Republic of Brazil.
  4. The two sides signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the State Administration of Foreign Exchange of China and the Ministry of Finance of Brazil on the Effective Role of the China-Brazil Cooperation Fund for Sustainable Development and Expansion of Production Capacity.
  5. The two sides signed the Cooperation Agreement between the China-Latin America Investment Fund for Production Capacity Cooperation and the National Bank for Economic and Social Development of Brazil on Promoting Production Capacity Cooperation for Sustainable Development between China and Brazil.
  6. The two sides signed the Joint Statement of Intent between the China National Space Administration and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of Brazil on the China-Brazil Earth Resources 05 satellite.
  7. The State Administration of Financial Supervision signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in insurance supervision with the Brazilian Private Insurance Supervision Authority.
  8. The China Securities Regulatory Commission and the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission signed an updated Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in securities and futures supervision.
  9. The two sides agreed to extend the visa-free Agreement between the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the Government of the Federal Republic of Brazil on Mutual Visa Exemption for holders of Diplomatic and Service (official) Passports to Chinese holders of ordinary service passports.
  10. The two sides signed the Working Arrangement Document of the Environment and Climate Change Sub-Committee of the China-Pakistan High-level Coordination and Cooperation Committee.
  11. The two sides signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the two Committees of the China-Pakistan Entrepreneurs Committee.
  12. China Development Bank signed a US $500 million loan agreement with the Bank of Brazil for Phase II credit cooperation, continuing to deepen practical cooperation with Brazilian financial institutions and enterprises.
  13. The China Development Bank and the Brazilian Development Bank signed a US $800 million loan agreement to support projects in the fields of infrastructure, power, manufacturing, oil and gas, agriculture, climate change, green development and green economy in Brazil.
  14. Sinosure and Petrobras renewed the Memorandum of Cooperation.
  15. The Export-Import Bank of China signed a bilateral loan agreement of US $500 million with the Bank of Brazil to give priority to supporting bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
  16. The two sides agreed to sign a letter of intent on cooperation between the National Energy Administration of China and the Ministry of Mining and Energy of Brazil.
  17. The two sides agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in Portuguese language teaching.
  18. The two sides reached agreement on the text of the Memorandum of Understanding on Promoting Economic and Trade Cooperation among Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.
  19. The two sides agreed to actively negotiate a mutual recognition agreement for higher education degrees.
  20. Both sides agreed to hold the China-Pakistan University Presidents’ Forum in Pakistan in the second half of 2024.
  21. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the two sides agreed to support the holding of the “Chinese Culture Season” in Pakistan.
  22. The two sides agreed to strengthen exchanges and cooperation on IPR protection of traditional cultural expressions.
  23. The two sides agreed to promote the export access procedures for Brazilian sorghum, fishmeal fish oil, rice and other products to China, and basically reached agreement on the text of the protocol for Brazilian grape and sesame exports to China.
  24. From the sixth meeting of the China-Pakistan High Commission to March 2024, China has approved the registration of 42 Brazilian meat companies in China.
  25. The two sides agreed to jointly hold a high-level seminar on poverty reduction cooperation.
  26. The China-Pakistan Financial Cooperation Forum hosted by the Finance Ministries of the two countries and hosted by the China Development Bank was successfully held in March 2024.
  27. Both sides support exchanges and practical cooperation between the two countries, and support the Shanghai Stock Exchange, Shenzhen Stock Exchange and Brazil Stock and Futures Exchange in exploring cooperation on ETF exchanges.
  28. The two sides held a China-Brazil Business seminar in Beijing on June 5, 2024.
  29. The two sides adopted the work plan of the Sub-Committees on Industry, Information Technology and Communications in April 2024 to deepen cooperation and refine joint actions in related fields.
